Parade: Matthew Morrison Reveals ‘Glee’ Finale Spoilers

At the end of this month, the seniors of William McKinley High School will face a fate similar to millions of teens across the country: graduation. On May 22, Glee’s season three finale is bringing more than the end of the season. It’s an end of an era for the show’s actors.

“We’re definitely going to have a couple of cast parties this week to say goodbye to each other,” Matthew Morrison, who plays McKinley’s glee club director William Schuester, told Parade.com on Saturday while promoting his latest film What to Expect When Expecting (in theaters May 18).

“That’s the thing: there is so much unknown next year. It’s going to be interesting for me teaching in the choir room next year and seeing a lot of faces I don’t know.” he added. “There are the familiar faces that I always go to like Finn (Cory Monteith) and Rachel (Lea Michele) and it’s going to be weird not staring in those eyes.”

Morrison said the past weeks of shooting have been emotional, but filming the final episode ‘Goodbye’ has helped the cast face the tough reality of the situation. “I think the last script is amazing,” Morrison said. “They put so much work into it and it really helped us deal with what we’re feeling. So that did a lot for us. We’ve been crying a lot the last couple of weeks. I’m really sad. I’m going to miss a lot of my friends and I don’t know when I’ll see them again.  ”

The actor, 33, has confirmed there will be no Emma Pillsbury (Jayma Mays) and Schuester wedding, but lit up when asked if the couple will finally consummate their relationship. “You’re the first person to ask that. I think you might be on to something there,” he said with a smile. “I cannot confirm or deny that but that is a wise thing to ask.”

Matthew Morrison on Lindsay Lohan, and the fate of Glee’s season finale

White House correspondents’ dinner regular Matthew Morrison came to his fourth “nerd prom” this weekend, this time with girlfriend Renee Puente.

During the Time/People pre-dinner reception, choir-singer-inspirer Will Schuester took a few minutes to talk about how the final stretch of “Glee’s” third season is going.

Naturally, this reporter wanted to know what things were like on set when another White House correspondents’ dinner guest, one Lindsay Lohan, recently showed up to shoot her appearance and, on at least one day, was reportedly late to the set.

Here’s what Morrison had to say about that and the current Gleek mood as we inch closer to graduation day for several McKinley High seniors.

When I asked Morrison whether he shot any scenes with Lohan, he said no: “I saw her on set, but I never worked with her.”

And have things gone okay with Lilo being part of the “Glee” mix?

A long pause from Morrison was followed by a laugh and a diplomatic response.

“I think it was all right,” he said. “The work got done.”

Regarding the work, Morrison said that production on “Glee’s” third season will wrap May 11 and that there will definitely not be a Will/Emma wedding before season’s end. He wasn’t even sure whether the nuptials will occur next season.

“I have no idea. We don’t even know — I mean, the show’s back next season, but we don’t even know which cast members will actually be back,” he said. “I think I’ll be back, but some of the kids — we’re trying to figure out what we’re going to do with that.”

While the show’s producers have previously said that seniors such as Rachel (Lea Michele), Finn (Cory Monteith) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) will probably stay on for season four even though they are graduating from McKinley, rumors have circulated about other cast members — possibly Dianna Agron, for one — departing after this season.

Morrison didn’t say anything about who was going vs. staying, but his comments made it clear that for some cast members, May 11 will mean goodbye to “Glee.”

“They’re treating it very sensitively, because for a lot of these kids it will be their last show,” he said. “I’m really happy that they’re treating it with such sensitivity and making the stories so great to end the show for some of these people.”

And what does Mr. Schue plan to do during his hiatus?

In addition to promoting “What to Expect While You’re Expecting,” the ensemble rom-com in which he plays Cameron Diaz’s baby-daddy, he said he will be working on his second album and vacationing in Europe. Morrison and Puente, a Hawaiian native and singer-songwriter who has dated Morrison for about a year, are hoping to travel to London, Barcelona and Milan and other spots in Italy.

So if you’re people-watching across the pond this summer and think you just spotted Will Schuester, odds are you might be right.
